"Your teeth are very good but you brush too hard," said the dentist. This inspired the song. It was started on the walk back home and finished on the same day.

But your touch is harsh.

You press and rub,
You do your best,
You hurt when you eat
And your hair’s a mess,
You know it could be nice,
But it looks like a nest
Of a bird that died

When I walk out of the dentist’s,
I hear he voice of the hygienist
Who says: there are those who barely brush their teeth
And then there are perfectionists like you.

And I don’t think I am a perfectionist,
I just want things done all right
And I like my mouth clean, that’s just the way I am,
And now you will hear about my experiences with love.

You give too much,
Learn to count to ten.

I’ll eat on some days and fast on other days
And on those days I won’t need to brush my teeth at all.

I will eat on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
